Historical Note: Attended Calvin College for four years, Bruce Buursma has made a career in journalism. He met his wife Judy in a film class at Calvin and they have two sons-Benjamin and David. Buursma has worked at The Press; The Courier-Journal in Louisville, KY; Dallas Times-Herald. He also worked as a business writer and religion editor at the Chicago Tribune beginning in 1980. Eventually Buursma made his way back to Calvin, becoming their media relations director from 1991-1994.
