Historical Note:

William was born in Sheldon, Iowa. As a young man he was a student at Orange City, Iowa, Christian School and the Northwest Academy and Junior College. He received his AB from Calvin College in 1932 and graduated from Calvin Seminary in 1935.

William K. Reinsma was a minister in the Christian Reformed Church, a teacher in Christian schools, and a translator of Dutch books.

He served in Bejou, Minnesota, 1936-1941; Lebanon, Iowa, 1941-1945; Raymond, Minnesota, 1945-1958; Ada, Michigan, 1948-1951; Oskaloosa, Iowa, 1951-1956; Lynden, Washington, 1956-1959; and Everson, Washington, 1962-1965. While he served in Ada he taught Greek at Calvin College and from 1959-1962 he was a Bible teacher at Lynden Christian High School.

When Reinsma retired he translated Dutch books into English for Heritage Hall. He had almost completed the translation of A. Kuyper's De Engelen Gods when he passed away on March 4, 1986. He was survived by his wife Hilda (De Boer) and their three children.

He preached with clarity and communicated well with young people.
