Peter Plug was born in Noordwijk, the Netherlands on December 2, 1941. As a child, Plug immigrated to the Canada in 1947. Plug attended Calvin College, graduating in 1970. He went on to Calvin Theological Seminary to prepare for a career in ministry. He graduated from the Seminary with a B.D. in 1973.
Plug's first call to service came from Telkwa CRC in British Columbia. His other charges include First CRC, Regina Saskatchewan (1976-81) and Vernon CRC, British Columbia (1981-87). Rev. Plug was known for his compassion for people with mental impairments, in which he provided a special class every week for those mentally impaired. While serving Vernon CRC, Rev. Plug received the news that he had cancer and was terminated due to his illness.
Rev. Peter Plug passed away from cancer on August 17, 1987, at the age of 45. He was survived by his wife, Diane Hutten, and their children.
