Abstract

Administrator for the Indian Mission Field in New Mexico. Correspondence, reports, minutes, articles, school records, newspaper clippings, and a transcribed interview dealing with mission activities in the American Southwest; a historical sketch of the Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church; and a bound manuscript entitled, "Memoirs," describing his early life near Lucas, Michigan, and his mission activities.

Biographical Note

Jacob H. Bosscher was born in Michigan on 22 March 1887.

His parents were Hidde Jacob Bosscher and Bregtje Sevinga. His father was born in the Netherlands and his mother was born in Holland. Jacob H. Bosscher married Nellie Lucas. Jacob H. Bosscher was the administrator for the Indian Mission Field in New Mexico. He died in Jenison, Michigan, in 1974. His siblings were Tertje, Menke, and Johannes.
