[See also the Campus Titles Database.]
Administrative History:

The Luke Society was established in 1964 by a group of Christian Reformed physicians and dentists. Their original mission was to save the Rehoboth Mission Hospital in Gallup, New Mexico. With the help of these doctors, they were able to build a new hospital and providing community outreach. By 1978, groundwork for the Luke Society to expand internationally takes place. In 1981, the first international ministries are formed in the Philippines. They expanded their outreach and in 1990 they hosted their first international conference, soon followed a much larger role in international ministry in Asia, Latin America, Africa and Eastern Europe. In 1999, Luke Society relocated their central office to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In 2014, Luke Society celebrated its 50th anniversary and now supports 42 active ministry partners.
