Biographical Note

Pierre-Augustin Robert Viscount St. Vincent was born on July 15, 1725 in Paris, France. He was an advisor to the Parliament of Paris. He was known as being a French magistrate and defender of the monarchy and the Gallican Church. He died in Brunswick, Germany on December 29, 1799.
