Abstract

Layman of the Christian Reformed Church, political commentator and columnist. The collection includes: an account of the Christian Reformed Church in the Chicago area entitled "Reminiscences of a Septuagenarian," issues of the Christian Citizen, 1949-1957, Illinois Observer, 1954-1959 and Church Observer, 1960-1963, agenda, minutes, and reports of the Ecumenical Synod of 1963 and of the Cedar Lake Bible Conference of 1963.

Biographical Note

Ralph H. Dekker was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 29, 1890. Dekker married Helene Brinks. Together they had five children-Henrietta, Johanna, James, Rosie Marie and Gerald. Dekker passed away on June 18, 1964.
