Biographical Note

Although Henry Denkema had operated a very successful business, he was even more devoted to mission work and philanthropic endeavors. Denkema served on the board of Christian Psychopathic Hospital Association and on the Christian Reformed Board of Missions. Denkema also served as vice-president at the Broadway Christian Reformed Church’s consistory in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Denkema was also involved with the West Side Christian Schools and Grand Rapids Christian High School. Denkema passed away on December 30, 1950.
