Abstract

The collection includes a letter (with translation) and a post card album. The letter and album were sent to Sjerp Woudstra, at Nyland, The Netherlands. The letter is illustrated with scenes from Grand Rapids, Michigan and the album contains post cards of Grand Rapids.

Biographical Note

Leendert "Leonard" Woustra was born on August 3, 1889 in the Netherlands. He immigrated to the United States and arrived in New York on March 2, 1911. He married Mary Padmos in 1913. Leendert passed away in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1954.
