Title: David Douwe Bonnema Collection, 1923-1956
Abstract
Our collection of sermonic material of "DD" Bonnema covers the period of seminary days and thirty-two years in the active ministry. It is noteworthy that there are six sets of sermons on the Heidelberg Catechism besides sermons specifically designated as preparatory, communion, and post-communion. The pastor in D. D. Bonnema prompted him to preach special messages classified for "Opening to Fall Work" and other special congregational events.
All the sermons (outlined) were placed in envelopes with notations as to place and time. The envelopes have been bundled according to the designation on the envelopes.
