Historical Note: Son of Hero and Albertha (Gortworst) Bratt, Dirk H. Bratt was born 5 January 1877. Dirk married Egbertje (Hattie) Boeve. Together they had 12 children– Janna, Hendrick, Cornelia, Steven, William Stephen, Hero D., Egbert, Albertha D., Aaltje, Boy Dickson, Dorothy Ann, and [unknown] Bratt. They lived in Holland and Ellsworth, Michigan. Dirk passed away on 22 February 1932.
