Dr. Davis Young is a professor emeritus of Calvin University who taught Geology, Geography, and Environment from 1978-2004. He is the son of Lillian and Dr. Edward J. Young, who was a professor of Old Testament at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia from 1936 until his death in 1968.
Before teaching at Calvin, Dr. Davis Young earned his B.S.E. at Princeton University (1962), his M.S. at Pennsylvania State University (1965), and Ph.D. at Brown University (1969). He taught at New York University from 1968-1973 and at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington from 1973-1978.
Dr. Young has written and co-authored several books and publications about geology and its relationship to Christian faith.
