Counsellor in the parlement of Paris, France. The collection includes memoirs, an important source for political and parliamentary Jansenism during the reign of Louis XV. The original manuscript is located at the Chateau de Forges, Arpajon, France.

Biographical Note

Pierre-Augustin Robert Viscount St. Vincent was born on July 15, 1725 in Paris, France. He was an advisor to the Parliament of Paris. He was known as being a French magistrate and defender of the monarchy and the Gallican Church. He died in Brunswick, Germany on December 29, 1799.
