Biographical Note
Gerard Bouma was born 24 March 1922 in Zwolle, OveriJest, Natherlands. Gerard attended the Kampen Theological School to get his degree in 1950. He was ordained as a Christian Reformed Minister in 1951. Gerard served the Church at Capelle a/d Ijssel, Netherlands from 1951 to 1952. He served the Essex CRC, Ontario, Canada, from 1952 to 1958. From 1958 to 1972 he served London CRC, Ontario, Canada. Gerard served East Paris CRC in Grand Rapids, Michigan, until his retirement in 1985. Gerard's parents were Dr. Cornelis Bouma and Leentje VanderVeen. His wife was Margeret Loos and together they had four children-Mieka, Martin, Keith and Joanne.
