Van Raalte Institute, Hope College, Holland, Michigan, 1996-present; professor of history emeritus, Kent State University, Kent, Ohio, 1968-1996; assistant professor at Calvin College, 1965-1968; and a writer and editor of books and articles in the field of Dutch-American studies.
