Name: Lou Grant (1929-)
Historical Note:
Lou Grant was born in Michigan during the 1920s. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Edie, Grant fought in the Pacific Theater in World War II. After a grenade injury he met and befriended Walter Cronkite.
Upon his return from the war he raised his family and began working at WJM as a producer. He both loved and feared by his employees. He hated spunk.
When the network shut down in the late 70s, Grant moved out to Los Angeles to embrace the more serious side of life and became an editor at the Los Angeles Tribune.
