Rev. Douwe Reinder Drukker was born in Stroobos, Netherlands on May 17, 1868. The Drukker family immigrated to the United States and settled down in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Drukker attended Calvin Seminary and received his diploma in 1895. Drukker served the congregations of Midland Park, New Jersey (1895-1898); Drenthe, Michigan (1898-1902); Fourteenth St., Holland, Michigan (1902-1911); First Zeeland, Michigan (1911-1914); Third Kalamazoo, Michigan (1914-1918); Third Zeeland, Michigan (1918-1926); and lastly Summer St. Passaic, New Jersey (1926).
The ravages of diabetes and a cold resulted in his death on December 27, 1926. Drukker left behind his two children with whom he had with his first wife, Hattie Scholten, and his second wife Lina Danne.
