Name: Wierenga, Henry (1890-1978)

Historical Note: Henry Wierenga was born September 11, 1890 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Wierenga was trained for ministry at Calvin Theological Seminary, where he earned his diploma in 1920. He served as minister for the Christian Reformed Church in Jamestown, Michigan from 1920-1925.  It was in that congregation that the process of deposition took place. Rev. Wierenga was released in 1925 due to disagreements in his views of the Fourth Commandment and the New Testament Sabbath. Rev. Henry Wierenga died on March 17, 1978 in Grand Haven, Michigan.
