Name: Bennink, Bernard John (1864-1947)

Historical Note: Bernard John Bennink (1864-1947) was born in the Netherlands. He came to the United States in 1886. He and Gertrude Veenstra were married 26 March 1887. Bernard worked as a Christian School administrator, teacher, and editor, and lived in Grand Rapids, Muskegon, and Grand Haven, Michigan. He could speak both Dutch and English. Bennink died on 28 April 1947 and was buried in Muskegon, Michigan. He was survived by his wife, children, and nine nieces and nephews.
