The family business started as a meat market at Division and Home streets in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It expanded to include livestock trading, slaughtering, and packing. Base of operations was Eastern Avenue Market (1908) which continued as either a retail or wholesale butchery until 1990. The collection includes business documents and photographs, plus family genealogy and photographs.
Nagel Family Collection
The collection includes materials from the extended Hendrick Nagel family [Barend, son, also cousin of Foppe Ten Hoor; Jennie, daughter-in-law; Grace, granddaughter; and Jentze Bleeker, mother]: a psalmbook, a New Testament, Dutch poems and songs, a hymnbook, a catechism book, Dutch greeting cards, and the baptismal cap of Hendrik Nagel.

Grand Rapids Area Center for Ecumenism [1972], known as GRACE, is a local/regional ecumenical ministry located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Its organizational predecessors are Kent Council of Churches [1946?] and the Grand Rapids Council of Churches [1964]. The collection includes minutes, reports, correspondence, history newsletters, programs, clippings, videos, and CDs/DVDs.

Contained are some of his early awards and honors, early work, early commissions and illustrations, and extensive correspondence on such topics as copyrights, commissions, fees, and expenses. Also contained are details on exhibitions in which he participated, 1940-1963.
Effie Weidenaar Collection
Homemaker, businesswoman, traveler. Married Dirk Weidenaar (1888-1939). After his death she returned to Grand Rapids and engaged in business ventures. She attended Calvin College and graduated in 1951. Many travel experiences were also recorded.
