Peter De Klerk Collection
Abstract
Theological Librarian at Hekman Library, Calvin College and Calvin Theological Seminary. The collection includes Peter (Pieter) De Klerk's student papers during his study at Calvin Theological Seminary and Westminster Theological Seminary, 1956-1963; personal correspondence, 1945-1981; and his extensive research on the Dutch immigration the Great Plains, particularly Colorado. This research is made up of copies from both United States and Dutch archives and repositories. Also contains similar but not as extensive research on Dutch settlement in Winnie, Texas; Dutch theologian, Klaas Schilder; the re-translation of the Canons of Dordt for the Synod of the Christian Reformed Church, 1979-1986; and more cursory examination of Dutch emigration to various North American and South African locations. Collection also contains a bibliography with full text of the collected minor works of Cornelis Augustijn (manuscript of Opera Augustiniana Minora).
