Herman Ganzevoort Collection
Abstract
Professor of history at University of Calgary, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The collection includes a thesis, entitled Dutch Immigration to Canada, 1892-1940, doctoral thesis, University of Toronto, 1975; an article published in Canadian Ethnic Studies, "Canada the Last Illusion," 1979; and twenty microfilm reels called the Ganzevoort Canadian Immigration Project. The microfilm reels detail backup immigrant documents, i.e., Toronto, Ontario; Canadian origins; Hamilton, Ontario; Holland Marsh, Ontario; Montreal, Quebec; societies, agents and problems; NVL-ECH-SLN; Winnipeg, Manitoba; general information; and an inventory list of microfilm reels regarding Stichting Landverhuizing Nederland (SLN).
