The collection includes student notebooks from Calvin College and Calvin Theological Seminary, his World War I papers (summons to appear for a physical, tourist items and cards he collected while in service in France, material provided by the army and the YMCA), and a letter from his brother, Richard, who was in Camp Devens, describing his leave in Whitinsville, Massachusetts.
