Nurse. The diaries in this collection were selected from diaries of Margaret W. Vander Poorte. They are representative copies in which Margaret described her ordinary daily activities. The Sundays give brief accounts of church activities. Her physical condition is referred to repeatedly. This collection was donated by John G. Vander Poorte, Margaret's widower.

The collection consists of eight diaries, May 1920 - August 1928, which relate her experiences.

Rev. George Vander Weit (1942-2013) was a CRC pastor and passionate advocate for social justice, both within the church and out in the greater community that surrounds it. His work made significant changes in the CRC; especially for women, minorities, and the average churchgoer.
